Mermaid water aka boujie fancy swamp water is the perfect spiked punch for summer sipping with the combination of limeade, pineapple juice, Captain Morgan, Malibu, and blue curacao. This drink may or may not make a regular appearance in my RV at cattle shows on the regular. My new favorite way to drink rum - Mermaid Water.
After the fair, momma needed something cold and strong to enjoy while floating in the pool. This mermaid water hit the spot and came with the volume I needed to wear off the fair. Luckily for me, the rum was purchased prior to Sunday to make sure the mermaid water would continue all Sunday long.
We showed cows, pigs. ate and ate and ate and ate and then sold our pigs.
We rode rides. Oh did we ride rides. I sort of hate the carnival rides, but I am pretty sure my kids love those stupid carnival rides almost as much as the animals. Ok, maybe even a little more. Every single night they asked to ride. If it would have been a drinking game to take a drink every time they asked if they could go ride rides, I would have had a strong buzz for the entire fair.
This is why by the time we unloaded from the fair, I wanted a stiff drink. And mermaid water delivered the strong drink I order.

Then top it all of with some ginger ale. Because everything is better when it is "sparkling" when you drink it.
How to Make Mermaid Water
To make this fancy swamp water, here is what you need to know. I can tell you if you use a whole 12 ounce can of limeade you will have enough punch for about 8 people, so be willing to make it as you go or use half a can.
Essentially you are doing 2 part Captain Morgan, 1 part Malibu Rum, ½ part Blue Curacao, 6 parts pineapple juice, 1 part limeade. A lime and ginger ale to top it off.
Enjoy the pleasure of a fruity-tooty cocktail. Now go make a gallon of Mermaid Water. Enjoy this boujie swamp water.

About how much does this make? Trying to see if I need to double it. I have a 2 gallon server. Do you know how many gallon's this would make?
What’s the recipe for a single glass?
When do you add ginger ale? Do you add it to each persons cup or in the mix when it’s ready to serve?
Kind of all over the place with your measurements -- cups, ounces, liter. Making it all one measurement, your recipe would be:
3 cups spiced rum
1 1/2 cups coconut rum
9 cups pineapple juice
1 1/2 cups limeade concentrate
3/4 cup blue Curacao
4 1/4 cups ginger ale
Just used the measurements items come in so people know how to purchase the ingredients. I appreciate your help with putting it all in cup measurements.
