I love simple cocktails. Easy ingredients. Easy to make. Lots of great flavors. Which is why I am on vacation, I also like to keep it simple. Drizly helped me keep this ginger blackberry cocktail easy when I was on vacation to Seattle.
Seattle was fantastic trip with my daughter over fall break. The weather was crisp and cool. While we encountered some rain, there were also days clear enough to see Mt. Rainer. While her and I had a great time, I craved a cocktail in the evenings. Finding and taking my daughter to a liquor store was not something I was looking to do. Which made Drizly the saving cocktail service for me.
Drizly makes it simple. Not heard of Drizly? Drizly is a service that works with local area stores to make sure you get exactly what you see on the shelf of a liquor store, delivered right to your door. To get started, just visit https://drizly.com/ and enter your address to see if the delivery service is available in your area. If it is, then continue with the order. Ordering the alcohol, mixers, even the ice is simple.
Now, when I was in Seattle, I was just a few blocks from the Pike Place Market. So, I grabbed some fresh blackberries, limes and mint from the market but ordered some ginger ale and vodka from Drizly. Then scheduled my delivery for when I returned from the market.
Ginger Blackberry Cocktail
Making the drink is simple. Muddle aka smash a few blackberries in the bottom of a shaker. Add the juice from a half of a lime, tear up a few mint leaves, fill with ice and then pour in one part vodka and two parts ginger ale. Shake to combine and then pour into a glass neat or over ice.
This might be my new favorite drink. Garnish with some mint and blackberries. Enjoy!
- 4 blackberries
- 3-4 mint leaves
- 1/2 lime
- 1 part vodka
- 2 parts ginger ale
- In a drink shaker, muddle 3 blackberries.
- Add torn mint leaves to drink shaker as well as juice from 1/2 lime.
- Fill with ice and pour vodka and ginger ale over top.
- Shake to combine and pour over ice or neat in a martini glass.

Drizly paid for my delivery of vodka and ginger ale. Thoughts are my own.
