I love Chambord. It is a liquor that many people have never tried. However, every time I make my French Martini for someone they are pleasantly surprised. The combination of Chambord and champagne in these French Mimosas will fancy up your morning brunch or be a perfect pre-dinner cocktail.
Mimosas are always an easy cocktail to make, especially for breakfast, however, why just have it for breakfast. We drink juice with liquor or wine in lots of other forms. Just because the classic mimosa with orange juice is the breakfast staple doesn’t mean it needs to be just served at breakfast. Adding Chambord to the sparkling wine makes it feel like more than a breakfast drink.
French Mimosas – Chambord and Champagne
Three ingredients to get a classy cocktail: Raspberries, Champagne or another sparkling wine, and Chambord.
I like to put my Chambord in the freezer so it is nice and cold when combined with the Champagne. We don’t want to ice down the cocktail. Chilled champagne and Chambord make it a perfectly chilled cocktail. Begin by placing a raspberry in the bottom of champagne flute. Pour the Chambord into the glass followed by the Champagne.
If you get overly excited, you will overflow the glass like I did. No fear, that is why there is a whole bottle of champagne.
The raspberry will bounce in the cocktail for a fun and swanky champagne cocktail. Your girlfriends will love this French Mimosa!
