Homemade Limoncello

Ingredients

  • 10 Lemons
  • 750 ml Vodka (Whole bottle)
  • 3 ½ cups water
  • 2 ½ cups Sugar

Instructions

  • Wash and lightly peel the lemons, so you are not getting a lot of the white parts more just the yellow peel.

  • Put peels in a large juice container.
  • Pour the whole bottle of Vodka over the lemon peels, seal with lid or plastic wrap.
    750 ml Vodka (Whole bottle)
  • Lemon, Vodka mixture should stay at room temperature for 4 days.
  • After the 4th day, in saucepan combine sugar and water, heat up until all sugar has dissolved. Once dissolved set aside to cool down completely.
    3 ½ cups water, 2 ½ cups Sugar
  • Once the sugar is completely cooled down, pour it into the Vodka/lemon mixture.
  • Strain the mixture of the peels and place in the refridgerater until cold.
  • Pour limoncello into small glass, garnish with curled lemon peel.
