Bring on the frozen drinks all summer long. Cherry limeade Slushies are the new favorite slushy flavor at our house. In between the ice pops, ice cream, and popsicles. The quick and easy combination of flavors makes this also an easy slushy that can be doctored up for momma too.
Slushies aren’t a new thing in my world. I have the frozen strawberry lemonade and my strawberry pink lemonade slushies. However, when I made my cherry limeade sangria, I was truly inspired. Inspired to make a new slushy for the kids.
Cherry Limeade Slushies
The ingredients are simple but maybe a bit surprising. I will be honest, I was not sure this was going to work when I tried the recipe. Start with a jar of stemmed maraschino cherries.
Combine the cherries, a can of frozen limeade and ice in a blender. Pour ginger ale over top and blend. I am pretty much obsessed with my Ninja blender. If you don’t look for reasons to use your blender, you don’t have the right blender.
The mixture will blend together, melding the fantastic sweet and tangy flavors. Pour into some of your favorite high ball glasses and garnish with some lime slices or more maraschino cherries. Don’t forget the fun straws. If these are for the kids, you will want the fun straws.
Enjoy these bad boys all some long. Want to enjoy these slushies with an adult theme, try them with gin or vodka or even rum. Just be sure your cherry limeade slushies don’t get confused with your kid’s cherry limeade slushies.
